"Venue is the Cookridge Village Scout Hut, Pinfold Lane." The run goes down Pinfold Lane and around Paul’s Pond in an anti-clockwise direction. The route then takes you into Golden Acre Park, following the path in an anti-clockwise direction and passes the nature reserve on your right. The route continues on this path and then moves onto the grassed area and up the hill towards the Arthington Road car park. More trail path and then through the woods, looking out for roots underfoot. Complete a loop of the main path, before a clockwise circuit of the lake. It is then a case of retracing the route back to the Scout Hut (with a little extra loop near the end)." "It's a flattish multi-terrain course that has one grass hill half way round the route."

"On the short section that crosses the moor (either side of the 2M mark) it has been known to become very boggy if the weather has  been wet." I guess that's the Puddle. A post to Facebook on Mar 4th says entries for the 2019 race will open on Mon Mar 11th for club runners and on Tue Mar 12th for anyone. Although that Facebook post says entries open at 1900 on those evenings, it will probably open at 1840 and it will probably be best to join the queue BEFORE 1900. The post also says the race will start at 1915 and it will be finishing in the car park at Morrisons - this will make the race approximately 5.4M. As in previous years, entries for the 2019 race will be taken at www.resultsbase.net. "If you do not already have a resultsbase profile, create a profile at resultsbase. It is best to do this before the day of entering. If you already have a profile, login to check your address details are accurate and in full." As resultsbase was used for entries into the Brass Monkey, the Bridges of the Tyne 5M and the Northumberland Coastal Run, you may have already done this. Entries for the 2018 race opened for affiliated runners at 1840 on a Monday and it was full at 2009. It opened for all runners at 1840 the following night and it was full at 2040. "The route is from Balmbras, Cloth Market in Newcastle, along Collingwood Street and Scotswood Road past Armstrongs Factory and over Scotswood Bridge to finish in Morrison's car park in Blaydon."

"Race HQ and finish are at the Brandon Sports Club." "A shuttle bus will be provided from the finish to the start at Lanchester." "The cost includes using the bus from the finish to the start or delivering of baggage from the  start to the finish at the beginning of the race." "The race follows disused railway tracks from Lanchester Green, south east along the Browney Valley towards Durham and curves towards the south west through Baxter Wood. Follow the cycle route along the Deerness valley railway track to Broom park picnic area then turn left downhill signposted to the Bishop Brandon railway line towards Brandon." "The tracks cut through beautiful undulating countryside, much of which is wooded. Most of the route is generally downhill, but save some energy for the  short steep climb after you cross the river Deerness between one and two miles from the end. After that its gently uphill to Brandon. To make it 9M, it will be routed outside of the cricket field on the playing fields between Meadowfield and Brandon to finish by the entrance to Brandon Sports Club." "The route is mainly on national cycle routes, and is well surfaced. It finishes on grass." "From club runners to fun runners, make a day of it. Food, drink and music will be available at the end of the race." "Inaugural race."

"Limit of 500." In 2018 when there was a limit of 250, the race was full in 4 days. "Venue is RAF Spadeadam, a working Ministry of Defence establishment." "The course offers stunning views along its length, winding its  way around and through Spadeadam Forest with views over to the Lake District and Sycamore Gap  on Hadrians Wall. With numerous RAF practise targets and tanks along the route, it's a run that offers a unique opportunity." "T-shirt, medal." "On race day choose between Urban Trail League Mug or Buff as your extra race memento." Also known as the Border Reivers Half Marathon.
